Hang Five Munchies 
A Themed Food Truck Experience

Jim Donnelly, or lovingly referred to as Jaws, lives in his Volkswagen bus along the shorelines of Huntington Beach. Once a professional surfer who rode the waves with grace and confidence, winning himself titles and accolades, now finds himself too afraid of the ocean due to watching the Steven Spielberg film Jaws. Not willing to brave the goliath of the ocean and gaining himself the nickname Jaws, he’s as happy as a clam selling treats to current-day surfers out of his bus turned food truck.

Character Casting
- Male cast member 5′10″ to 6′0″, age 35–45, must do a California accent
- Must be educated in surf culture, Beach Boys, and California culture
- Cast member must be educated in the character’s background and can answer questions in character
- Uniform: cast wears jammers, flip flops, and a Hawaiian shirt that complements swimming shorts. Long wig and mustache, for uniform depiction across actors.
- Jaws will be a meet and greet character around or in the bus and will not be working the food truck.

Cast Members
- Food truck cast will also be educated in the character’s backstory and can answer questions related to Jim’s life or business
- Food truck cast members’ uniform will consist of closed-toed shoes, jammers, and a tan Hang Five Munchies shirt. Cast must wear a name tag on the right-hand side of the chest
- Socially appropriate tattoos are fine
- Must have a natural color for hair, nothing too wild that jars guests out of the narrative
- Ear piercings are permitted, but other visible piercings are not
- If a cast member has long hair, they are required to tie it back

Mission
Did you know that our ocean makes up more than 70% of the planet!? Righteous, right? You know what’s not so rad? That each year, it is estimated that 33 billion pounds of plastic enter our oceans. That’s a huge problem, not just for our ocean friends, but for us too. The ocean is responsible for providing food, jobs, creating half of the air we breathe, capturing 30% of carbon dioxide emissions, and helping in climate control. Moral of the story, dude or dudette, we need the ocean just as much as the animals that call it home do. That’s why here at Hang Five Munchies, we encourage the community to participate in beach clean-ups. With every volunteer certificate you bring to us, your lunch is on us as a thank you for keeping our beaches clean.

My brother-in-law accompanied me in my final presentation of Hang Five Munchies, dressing up as my original character, Jaws. He is wearing a costume I made by painting the shirt and hand sculpting his necklace. The pants and shoes were bought. I am wearing a custom-made t-shirt with my logo on the front and back, with a handmade name tag.
